the long winding road tanka

the long
winding road

I have grown old
waiting for the light to shine

CARCEL PARA LOS POLITICOS QUE CAUSARON LA CRISIS ECONOMICA DE PUERTO RICO!!!!!~!

A la cárcel deberían ir todos los responsables de la crisis económica en Puerto Rico, políticos y banqueros.  CARCEL!!! Analistas políticos de mierda tenemos en este país. Los que llevaron a este país a la bancarrota tienen nombre y apellido y ahora les quieren tirar la toalla.

if I were on the road to nowhere tanka

if I were on the road
to nowhere
with you as my compass
my poem would be the thesaurus
of ambiguous sorrows

but I am only
my footsteps
and the best I can do
is to lengthen the road
with music

love note tanka

love note:
I watch the fire boogaloo
on your verses…
you are the night
that illumines my language

wordless night tanka

in a wordless night
the wall does not dissolve--
one more harmless day
I lie stuck in the middle
of light, ready to vanish

I wake up tanka

I wake up
with her towering over me
a touch of blood
dripping from her mouth
conscious of nothing

there are days tanka

there are days
of sunshine and azure
as well as dark
ineffable monsoons
covering my skin

I’m over sixty tanka

I’m over sixty,
the moon is the same
but my body
is tattooed with time…
let me finish this spring painting

when I finally tanka

when I finally
break the cage,
rapture …
on a broken night
the more I fly the more I burn

the truth is tanka

the truth is
I am better on my own…
starting over
another day
under the smelting heat

I live hand to mouth tanka

I live hand to mouth
knowing hope and history
are inmates--
encircled by strings
I dance on desert sands
