Adobo Criollo Sergio Antonio Ortiz Rivera

the closing door  of a cremation niche...  end of summer ,

belonging is like a circle without  boundaries...  alone yet tied together

the heat makes my brain blank out my sister is inching her way into my heart hope to see you soon Priscila

love  is like a dying ember only  memories remain blue eyes crying in the rain

I cried like a little boy unmoor leagues of heartache... flying solo into Africa

mirrors  shadows and dreams-- what will we do when we get really old, walk down the same road?

chimeras lose their bridges-- a trickle of light seduced me in the jungle

loss of memory  unending afternoons  of solitaire  no house to call  my own

I played that old upright piano from fear to fear when love was a young man caressing my face at daybreak

last night  our bodies were as busy as a silk kimono meteors fell  into the pond full of koi

nodding to a song from my adolescence I stare over his shoulder drained of salt and dust

I hope the leaves  don't touch your body  when they fall so you can't turn  them into glass  I hope the rain falling on your body like agile ghosts sets the earth on fire, kisses your footsteps
