On the Monotonous and Sedentary

On the Monotonous and Sedentary

flesh crackles
and crumples on the bed
like the bee’s broken song
waiting for a dream
where skylarks announce
a new voyage

I’d say goodbye to dry plains
and humid twilights-
the last petal of the last rose
to feel spring blossom once again
